Just what I wanted...

I "re-learned" fractions. I can add, subract, divide, multiply and this is with mixed number might I add. Woohoo, I'm on a roll. Gotta love how your kiddos in school teaches you right along side of them. I was really great at math, now since those skills have been dormant they are a little rusty. Never fear though, it only takes a couple problems for those gears to get going again. *rolleyes* YAY!!! Can you tell my excitement???

Anyhow, I survived the mom taxi today and everyone made it on time!!! YAY ME!

I also broke my non-spending spree. Not badly and it wasn't even fun, I'm afraid. $8 for competition this weekend, $25 for the cheerleading bag (embroidered), and $51 for more of hubby's school books. I'm still under $100 for the day though and it wasn't anything I could have gotten away with no payment ~ so there *wink*

After reading the other comments to the blog below... yes, tabs are registration for your vehicles. I was just curious over price because a few years back ours were in the hundreds and it was calculated through year and weight of vehicle and such. Some guy took out a petition and had a law passed we would only pay $30 a year a few years back. Now the state is charging different fees to raise the cost. I imagine the state lost a ton of money in that deal though, so you can't really blame them for trying to make it up somewhere. Anyway, hope that clarified it.

the $30 tabs was the reason rob wanted to continue to register his car in WA, but it got to be too big of a hassle. (he has WA residency, even now.)

our car was about $200 in registration, due every 2 years. then CT also does a yearly property tax on each vehicle (about $400 for the above car). but we can get out of this b/c rob is in the military. whew, it would have been an extra $900 out of our pockets this month. ouch!
